3RD REVOLUTION - [VIDEO/ACTION FOR ILEX FOREST]
[[The feed opens to the sight of an Umbreon sitting calmly in the grass, blinking softly as he looks into the camera. It isn't long, however, before the focus of the image is shifted, sliding away from the Umbreon and bringing into view a shivering Chikorita, lying on what appears to be a brown blanket. In actuality, it's Page's skirt, and said skirt-owner is currently on her knees, gently washing dirt from the Chikorita's pale skin. It's peppered with injuries; mainly scratches, but there's a rather nasty gash on its side that Page is trying to treat. Without pausing in her work, she addresses the feed.]]
Do any of you have any experience with Pokemon medicine or medical care? I found her underneath a tree this morning. I don't know what attacked her but she keeps dipping in and out of consciousness and I'm....worried.
[[As Page looks down at the Chikorita, her Gligar crawls up her back and pops over her shoulder, joining her in looking down at their unexpected guest. The Umbreon hasn't moved the entire time, instead flicking his eyes around the area. It never hurts to be cautious, especially when they're tripping over injured Pokemon. Page returns her gaze to the camera for one last plea for help.]]
There are a lot of berries around the place but I don't know if any will help break her fever. The guidebook doesn't really cover anything like that. If there's anyone out there that can offer advice, even a little, I'd really appreciate it.
[[With a final look down at the Chikorita, Page nods slightly, before moving to cut the feed.]]
Thank you for listening.

[Of course, it's a whole other story if it's poison, but it doesn't look that way from here. Then again that Chikorita is a whole lot smaller than she is. Might have taken hold a lot quicker.]
[[Hmm. Perhaps she needs something stronger.]]
Do you think it's worth me taking her to a Pokemon Centre? I believe I'm...close to Goldenrod; I'd have to check.
[[What a frustrating situation all round.]]
It may be your only option. The nurses are trained to deal with this kind of thing, and they have a lot of resources that trainers don't. They should at least know what'll work.
[Though the distance is a factor, and probably a deciding one. This could get ugly.]
I'll figure something out. If we have to race on to Goldenrod City, we will. I'm not going to let her die.
[[She's actually rather pleased to see you, Lightning; she's got a question or two.]]
Did something happen in Violet City?
They can't die, Page. No one can. Not in this world.
[Come extremely close? Yes. Be extremely uncomfortable and injured? Yes. But actual death? Not that she's ever seen, and she's seen a lot here.
Or at least, enough that the sudden change in topic doesn't surprise her. Have a nod.]
The city was attacked a couple of weeks ago. Team Rocket tried to burn down Sprout Tower with the monks still inside.
[Tried and mostly succeeded. The tower would need new paint, that was for sure.]
[[....she is never going to get used to this place
Also, that little comment about what Team Rocket tried to do to the monks seems to force a change in Page; all of a sudden, she's momentarily forgotten about the Chikorita and lunged forward, grabbing the Gear in desperation.]]
What?! Are they alright?!
[Eh, give it a couple years. She'll adjust. Hopefully.
And whoa there, lady. Settle down. You missed the fire by almost three weeks. No need to get excited. She's going to have to wait a moment while Lightning puts up a filter, anyway.]
They were when I left town the next day. Unfortunately, so was the one behind the attack. [frown. Not pleased about that, obviously.] He got away before we could catch him. Teleported right out.

And is that one of yours that you lost track of temporarily, or is it literally something you found while wandering through the wilderness this morning?

exactly the person she needed right now]]
I know this is a foreign concept to you, Reaver, but some of us have compassion for our fellow living things!
[[....aka she totally just found it]]
no subject
Hopefully you weren't so caught up in the throes of compassion and empathy that it didn't occur to you to use proper medicine on it - Potions exist for a reason, you know.
no subject
[[Let her just waggle an empty Potion bottle in front of the camera, there.]]
I'm more worried about her fever. The Potion isn't helping with it and I don't....know what to do.

[...it's still pointed as hell, but at the very least it's far less sarcastic than it could have been.]
no subject
[[That pointed remark will earn a rather pointed look, before Page peers down at the Chikorita again, running a hand along its head. After a moment, she looks back at the camera.]]
Don't you believe the fact that I found her means she deserves a second chance? I can't just leave her to die, that's horrid.

None of the berries are good for fever, but feeding her Oran Berries [He holds up a blue berry.] and Sitrus Berries [He holds up a yellow berry.] should work on that wound if you don't have any Potions. I'm not sure if she can eat like that though.
For the fever, look for flowers like this one [He holds up a flower. The mun doesn't know what PokéWorld herbalism is like so I'll just wing this and pretend that Apollo's getting this all right because he knows stuff like this]. They seem to be pretty common. If you have something to boil water in you should tear up the petals and let them sit in the hot water for a while, then have her drink the water. If you don't then chew the petals up with a lot of spit and feed it to her in little pieces at a time. You'll need to give her more that way though. It won't heal her fever completely but it will help. I've only had to give it to Pokémon with mild fevers before so I'm not sure how much of a difference it will make on a strong fever like that, but it should do something at least.
good lord
you're possibly exactly the sort of person she wanted to pop up]]
Ah, right...I believe I've seen plenty of those berries around, but I do have a small supply of Potions I've been using. It's the fever that's got me worried.
[[Let her just peer into the camera for a bit, so she can get a good view of that flower. She tilts the screen somewhat so her Umbreon can see it.]]
Edgar, can you find me some of those?
[[The answer is yes, he can, and the Umbreon promptly disappears into the darkness of the Ilex Forest. Still with that look of mild surprise on her face, Page returns her attention to her saviour.]]
Thank you very much for that information; I'm afraid I was rather lost.
Don't mind that you're getting medical advice from a 13-year-old, Page. He knows what he's doing, even if most people wouldn't consider it "medicine" per se.]
I hope it works.
Most people here seem to only think to go to the PokéCenters or use the Potions and things from the stores, but sometimes you can't get to them quickly, and if you only know how to use Potions for healing while you're traveling you'll need a lot of money.
...well, that and the fact that she doesn't have any other options, but....yes.]]
You're right; I didn't realize just how much it cost to keep a Potion supply handy. I take it you've got a bit of experience with herbal medicine and the like, then?
[[...now she's legitimately curious.]]
I've read that some of these berries aren't fit for human consumption, but I'm not sure of the effects.

....look, she's fast, alright.]]
Somewhat; I've put her in a Pokeball and we're currently heading to Goldenrod City as quickly as we can.
[[Huh. It's oddly pleasant to hear from you, Logan.]]
You've been there, haven't you? Any advice? I've heard it's....an experience.
That's certainly one way to describe it. Goldenrod is like nothing I've ever seen before. It's much larger than Bowerstone and incredibly easy to get lost in.
[And without the light trail, his sense of direction is horrible.]
There are all sorts of things to see there and Goldenrod has the largest Pokémart of all the cities I've been in. It can be a bit overwhelming, however.
[A short pause. That's not what's important right now.]
Do you have any idea what happened to that Pokémon? You found it in the Ilex Forest, correct? I don't recall any other Pokémon in the area that could have caused an injury like that.
[Then again, he doesn't remember much of what happened in the forest since there were a lot of ghosts and he's pretty sure Reaver managed to drag him through the place in record time.]
I literally just stumbled across her lying underneath a tree in that state; when she's feeling better I'm sure one of my Pokemon will be able to talk to her and find out what happened. For now I'm just trying to get to Goldenrod as quickly as possible.
[[Stifling a yawn, Page tucks the Pokeball neatly back into her belt. Despite her initial reluctance to do it, it is a good method of transport for an injured Pokemon.]]
As long as the place has a good Pokemon centre, I couldn't care less what else is there. Although the big...department store sounds interesting.
[[Smirking slightly, Page looks into the camera.]]
Are you two still banned from going in there?
[Though at the remark about the department store, Logan rolls his eyes. Though he's linefacing pretty hard, he sounds slightly amused.]
You just had to bring that up, didn't you? I told him it wouldn't work.
I'm more concerned with the fact that you went along with it, albeit unwillingly. I haven't laughed so hard in a while.
Something I shouldn't attempt, then?
