3RD REVOLUTION - [VIDEO/ACTION FOR ILEX FOREST]
[[The feed opens to the sight of an Umbreon sitting calmly in the grass, blinking softly as he looks into the camera. It isn't long, however, before the focus of the image is shifted, sliding away from the Umbreon and bringing into view a shivering Chikorita, lying on what appears to be a brown blanket. In actuality, it's Page's skirt, and said skirt-owner is currently on her knees, gently washing dirt from the Chikorita's pale skin. It's peppered with injuries; mainly scratches, but there's a rather nasty gash on its side that Page is trying to treat. Without pausing in her work, she addresses the feed.]]
Do any of you have any experience with Pokemon medicine or medical care? I found her underneath a tree this morning. I don't know what attacked her but she keeps dipping in and out of consciousness and I'm....worried.
[[As Page looks down at the Chikorita, her Gligar crawls up her back and pops over her shoulder, joining her in looking down at their unexpected guest. The Umbreon hasn't moved the entire time, instead flicking his eyes around the area. It never hurts to be cautious, especially when they're tripping over injured Pokemon. Page returns her gaze to the camera for one last plea for help.]]
There are a lot of berries around the place but I don't know if any will help break her fever. The guidebook doesn't really cover anything like that. If there's anyone out there that can offer advice, even a little, I'd really appreciate it.
[[With a final look down at the Chikorita, Page nods slightly, before moving to cut the feed.]]
Thank you for listening.

[[Let her just waggle an empty Potion bottle in front of the camera, there.]]
I'm more worried about her fever. The Potion isn't helping with it and I don't....know what to do.
no subject
[...it's still pointed as hell, but at the very least it's far less sarcastic than it could have been.]
no subject
[[That pointed remark will earn a rather pointed look, before Page peers down at the Chikorita again, running a hand along its head. After a moment, she looks back at the camera.]]
Don't you believe the fact that I found her means she deserves a second chance? I can't just leave her to die, that's horrid.

[[You are seriously the one person in Johto capable of getting her this angry after such a small conversation
you really are talented]]
And who cares if there's something wrong with her? That's why I'm going to take her to the Pokemon Centre in Goldenrod! Right now!
[[......let her just
start bundling that Chikorita up in her skirt]]
no subject
Is there a reason you didn't do that in the first place?
no subject
Do you really believe I didn't think of that? I only found her a few minutes before I sent that message on the feed, you know. I wanted to see if there was someone who knew how to cure her here so I didn't have to risk her health on the journey, but since no-one has come forward I'll just have to rush her there.
[[Pausing for a moment, Page closes her eyes to think, muttering to herself.]]
If we don't stop, we should be able to cut...maybe a day off the distance? Especially if I ride Harper....
[[Shaking her head, she glares back into the camera.]]
If there's a chance I can help someone, Reaver, I tend to take it.
no subject
But really, somehow I doubt these creatures really need your assistance - last I checked, they were doing perfectly well in the wild, and even the utterly pathetic species haven't managed to die out yet. Instinct will allow them to save themselves more often than not, and I think the animal in question knows more about the berries and various other...whatnot in the area than you do.
However, if you're going to insist on acting like you're some sort of gracious savior, might I suggest at least capturing it properly and putting it in one of those capsules we have? Unless, of course, you want to simply jostle it everywhere and allow it to be utterly conscious and suffering the entire time.
no subject
Page looks down at the bundle in her arms, conflicted.]]
...well I was...going to return her to the forest after wards, but I...
[[...look she's only actually caught one of her Pokemon and that was because the damn thing wouldn't stop pestering her until she did, isn't it....kinda mean to shove them in those little balls if you don't ask first but ugh you have a point about the journey not that she would ever admit that....b-but....
....sighing, Page gets out a Pokeball and gently presses it against the Chikorita's head. With a flash, it's disappeared inside, and she's left holding her skirt and a Pokeball, still looking conflicted.
However, that doesn't last too long; Reaver is still on the feed so she quickly goes back to looking suitably annoyed.]]
I'm not insisting on being some sort of saviour; it's just the right thing to do.
[[Hmph!]]

You can assert that all you like, my dear, it's really of no particular consequence to me, nor do I really care. Now go leave the life-saving to those who actually know what they're doing, hm?
no subject
how unique and original]]
If you're really so apathetic about the whole situation, then surely you've got something more enjoyable to do than make my life miserable?
no subject
it's almost cute]
Perhaps, perhaps not. Though if this is all it takes to make your life miserable, darling, then you're making me question the overall quality of your life.
no subject
[[.....right
so she's marching her way through the Ilex Forest
with you bugging her through the feed
excellent]]
no subject
the feed
off??????
or don't w/e this is hilarious]
Ah, and again you insist on trying to wound me. Perhaps one day you'll come around.
[.............................]
Where in the world are you, anyway? That forest south of your destination?
no subject
that would mean you win]]
Yes; I'm in the Ilex forest. I should be out of it in a couple of hours, on my way to Goldenrod.
[[.......]]
Please tell me you aren't in Goldenrod.
no subject
Although I admit curiosity - still looking for information on those legends you're so fond of, by any chance?
no subject
Page won't stop, but it's very clear you've both surprised her and caught her interest with that little tidbit]]
Yes, I am; don't tell me you're going to be helpful and give me some. I may die of shock.
no subject
Well, it's not so much information as it is advice, but I would suggest moving north after you've finished your business in Goldenrod; assuming no one feels like blowing things up there that day - as apparently the city in question has been blessed by the hand of Skorm himself and incidents have a way of happening there - Ecruteak is rather steeped in the sort of history that's likely to interest you, from what I've seen.
To say nothing of the fact that it's decidedly less...overwhelming, I suppose. Believe me, Bowerstone has nothing on Goldenrod.
no subject
[[As she walks she'll fiddle a bit with her Gear, cutting away from the feed and bringing up the Town Map. However, the camera is still on, and she softly mouths the name of the city she's searching for until she spots it.]]
Ecruteak. Well, it's not that far from Goldenrod.
[[Bringing the feed back up, Page....promptly looks to the side, as there appears to be a rather fascinating tree over there that she needs to look at. You understand.]]
I'll have to see it with my own eyes before I can believe you, but I suppose I can make a stop there.
[[.....................]]
Nice of you to think of me.
[[.....that came out completely wrong
goddammit]]
no subject
at least he's more likely to be amused than completely weirded right the hell out, Page
believe me in this case that's fortunate]
The entire place seems rather steeped in the sort of culture you were expressing an interest in; it was a bit difficult not to, really.
[...okay yeah that likewise came out completely wrong, hang on]
no subject
you were supposed to say something vulgar and/or inappropriate and get things back to normal
now what is she supposed to do]]
.....
.....I'll see what I think when I get there, then.
[[quick a topic change a topic change quick]]
Any recommendations for things to see?
[[......that wasn't
quite the change she was looking for
...
it'll do]]
no subject
Well, you might want to start with the towers on the far side of town; there are a set of them - or, rather, there were, it seems that one of the creation myths around here centers around the destruction of one of them.
[...not that he's helping much, uh]
no subject
Ah, do you mean the Burned Tower and the Bell Tower? I read about those two briefly in the book I got from Violet City; I knew there was something familiar about the name Ecruteak! Are they as fascinating in real life as they sound?
[[oh now look what you've done
this is all your fault]]
no subject
you have just opened the doors for nerding this is not good]
Oh, they do not disappoint, my dear - I had intended to see them for myself the first time I was in that area, though there was one of those...ah, abovementioned incidents that occurred immediately after His Majesty and I entered the town; unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to see them then, but I was just recently there for a second time and...well. Let's just say that I was there a good sight longer than I'd intended to be - it was quite the experience, and all of the descriptions I'd read up to that point simply don't do it justice...
[...wow okay just
let him get his composure back on]
So yes, I do think it's worthwhile, as is the rest of the place, really.
no subject
I had a feeling that would be the case; I've only seen a picture but they shoot up so high above the other buildings, they look incredible-
[[what is she doing]]
-so yes, I....suppose that's good, then. I may have to take your advice.
[[Gotta get this back to normal, gotta-]]
Although I had fully intended to head that way regardless, so don't think I'm giving you any credit.
[[...see that would have been fine
if she hadn't been smiling slightly as she said it
we started so well too]]
