3RD REVOLUTION - [VIDEO/ACTION FOR ILEX FOREST]

[[The feed opens to the sight of an Umbreon sitting calmly in the grass, blinking softly as he looks into the camera. It isn't long, however, before the focus of the image is shifted, sliding away from the Umbreon and bringing into view a shivering Chikorita, lying on what appears to be a brown blanket. In actuality, it's Page's skirt, and said skirt-owner is currently on her knees, gently washing dirt from the Chikorita's pale skin. It's peppered with injuries; mainly scratches, but there's a rather nasty gash on its side that Page is trying to treat. Without pausing in her work, she addresses the feed.]]

Do any of you have any experience with Pokemon medicine or medical care? I found her underneath a tree this morning. I don't know what attacked her but she keeps dipping in and out of consciousness and I'm....worried.

[[As Page looks down at the Chikorita, her Gligar crawls up her back and pops over her shoulder, joining her in looking down at their unexpected guest. The Umbreon hasn't moved the entire time, instead flicking his eyes around the area. It never hurts to be cautious, especially when they're tripping over injured Pokemon. Page returns her gaze to the camera for one last plea for help.]]

There are a lot of berries around the place but I don't know if any will help break her fever. The guidebook doesn't really cover anything like that. If there's anyone out there that can offer advice, even a little, I'd really appreciate it.

[[With a final look down at the Chikorita, Page nods slightly, before moving to cut the feed.]]

Thank you for listening.

Try a potion. It should help close the wound and deal with any infection.

[Of course, it's a whole other story if it's poison, but it doesn't look that way from here. Then again that Chikorita is a whole lot smaller than she is. Might have taken hold a lot quicker.]

[Frown. That really doesn't sound like poison. The poison she knows lets wounds close, but it just...does things to your insides. A potion should have closed that gash anyway.]

It may be your only option. The nurses are trained to deal with this kind of thing, and they have a lot of resources that trainers don't. They should at least know what'll work.

[Though the distance is a factor, and probably a deciding one. This could get ugly.]

[Lightning cants her head to the side, a pensive look in her eyes. Has Page not been told this yet? It seems that way.]

They can't die, Page. No one can. Not in this world.

[Come extremely close? Yes. Be extremely uncomfortable and injured? Yes. But actual death? Not that she's ever seen, and she's seen a lot here.

Or at least, enough that the sudden change in topic doesn't surprise her. Have a nod.]

The city was attacked a couple of weeks ago. Team Rocket tried to burn down Sprout Tower with the monks still inside.

[Tried and mostly succeeded. The tower would need new paint, that was for sure.]

[...well, that's...new, but completely unsurprising, really. Reaver supposes he should have expected this sort of bleeding-heart thing to come from Page eventually; he manages to keep from eyerolling at it long enough to respond, at least.]

And is that one of yours that you lost track of temporarily, or is it literally something you found while wandering through the wilderness this morning?

Considering they can blow themselves up without dying, I'm pretty sure it applies to them, too. A gash is nothing in comparison, so long as you stop the bleeding.

[Eh, give it a couple years. She'll adjust. Hopefully.

And whoa there, lady. Settle down. You missed the fire by almost three weeks. No need to get excited. She's going to have to wait a moment while Lightning puts up a filter, anyway.]

They were when I left town the next day. Unfortunately, so was the one behind the attack. [frown. Not pleased about that, obviously.] He got away before we could catch him. Teleported right out.

...in other words, you definitely just found it.

Hopefully you weren't so caught up in the throes of compassion and empathy that it didn't occur to you to use proper medicine on it - Potions exist for a reason, you know.

And I'm assuming that letting nature run its course is completely and utterly out of the question.

[...it's still pointed as hell, but at the very least it's far less sarcastic than it could have been.]

The fact that you found it doesn't mean it deserves any more or less than it would have gotten if you hadn't. Really, Page, they're just animals, and the fact that it's still obviously injured despite treatment being administered implies that there's probably something wrong with it, besides.

Is there a reason you didn't do that in the first place?

[Nod. She understands Page's reaction to not watching the feed, considering she'd have had the same one if her travelling group hadn't been close enough to turn around and make it back to Violet within fifteen minutes of race horse speed travel. They cut it pretty damn close.]

We know for sure. He was wearing their uniform. [shrug.] Besides, no one else would have a reason to do something like that. The monks tend to keep to themselves, so it's not like they'd have any enemies.

[And it isn't as if there's other teams around here. Rocket is the major threat.]

Given the things that these creatures can live through, if travelling for some time was "risking her health" then there really is something wrong with it.

But really, somehow I doubt these creatures really need your assistance - last I checked, they were doing perfectly well in the wild, and even the utterly pathetic species haven't managed to die out yet. Instinct will allow them to save themselves more often than not, and I think the animal in question knows more about the berries and various other...whatnot in the area than you do.

However, if you're going to insist on acting like you're some sort of gracious savior, might I suggest at least capturing it properly and putting it in one of those capsules we have? Unless, of course, you want to simply jostle it everywhere and allow it to be utterly conscious and suffering the entire time.

[Once again, you have been deemed worthy of being the recipient of the Official Award For Exceptional Effort. Also known in some circles as "The Page Award," this particular honor is handed out to only the best and brightest in their particular field of failure; feel free to collect your winnings whenever your life stops being terrible long enough to allow you to do so!]

You can assert that all you like, my dear, it's really of no particular consequence to me, nor do I really care. Now go leave the life-saving to those who actually know what they're doing, hm?

[She watches Page pace for a moment. Sure, the monks themselves are harmless, but the tower is a symbol of Violet. Burn down symbols and monuments and you can take out morale as easily as breathing.]

Mostly, but I doubt they're pointless. They have some kind of purpose. Power, or to rule the people here by fear. [she looks aside, an oddly distant look in her eyes. She knows how this goes...] It's hard to say for sure. They could be doing it just because they can.
