2ND REVOLUTION - [VIDEO/ACTION FOR VIOLET CITY]
[[Today is a fairly pleasant day in Violet City, so Page has taken advantage of the good weather to head outside and train her Pokemon a little. She's found, however, that over the past few weeks she's developed a few questions that she can't seem to find good answers for, so she's decided to....well, ask the 'feed', as it were. It took her a little while to work up the courage and to remind herself that she's not a wanted criminal here, but even so, it's....well. Slightly uncomfortable, but if this is how people communicate in this place, she'd better get used to it.
She's standing in an area on the outskirts of the city, the rustic buildings of Violet City in the background. The camera is surprisingly steady, obviously being held by one of her larger Pokemon.]]
I was wondering if any of you would be able to help me with my query.
[[When she speaks, her eyes find the camera, but once she's finished she immediately looks to the side, obviously not that comfortable with the whole experience. She's used to giving speeches; rather good speeches! But she's also used to have a tangible audience, so the fact that all she has to focus on is...well, her Gear, is bemusing her somewhat. But she'll get used to it. She's gotten used to worse.]]
Do any of you have experience with raising one of these?

[[Almost on cue, an Eevee scampers up her body and sits on her shoulder, staring into the camera with serious eyes matching those of his trainer.]]
I've done a bit of research and found that he can evolve into one of seven different things; which did you choose? What was the reason? Was it worth it, or do you regret your choice? I've heard evolution is irreversible, so I want to make sure my decision is the right one.
[[Another slightly awkward look to the side, before she faces the camera once more and nods her head slightly.]]
I appreciate your time. Thank you.
[[With a look to the Pokemon holding the camera, the feed is cut.]]

[[Not that she sounds bitter, or anything. What the hell is this place doing to her?
...alright now she's legitimately cuddling the damn Eevee
she didn't mean it, Edgar...]]
Try not to get too excited.

Unfortunately, when it comes to your query, about the only thing I can tell you is that several of the stones used to make the little beasts evolve are in Goldenrod City. There's some sort of disturbingly large store in the middle of town; if you manage to miss that somehow, you're a bit beyond any help others might be able to give. Wander around long enough in there and you'll find what you're looking for; if Barry can manage to navigate the place, I've no doubt you can.
no subject
[[....that's
...
my god, Reaver, that's actually useful]]
You do realise you've just given me legitimately helpful information, don't you? Are you sure you're not feeling ill?

no subject
[[help
what's happening]]
But perhaps I'll try to find a book of jokes in that store of yours. Keep you guessing.
[[make it stop]]
no subject
or just really, really wigged out]
And the day you actually use any of the material, I'll be keeping an eye out for airborne swine.
no subject
you people are out to fuck with her head, aren't you]]
Perhaps I won't need the book. I fear I'm stuck here with three of the biggest jokes in Albion, anyway.
no subject
Oh, come now, my dear, you were doing so well.
no subject
it's terrifying]]
I can't please you forever, Reaver, as desperately as I'd like to.
[[....do you realise how much she's fighting to restrain a smile right now
do you realise this
what is going on]]
no subject
[...you really should have seen that one coming...]
no subject
You never give up, do you?! I admire your perseverance, at least!
no subject
[Page, what in the world.]
You're being surprisingly tolerable today, you know. Any particular reason?
[Seriously, between this and the fact that last time we all spoke in person there was a sudden "hey we just met up and this is crazy but here's my number so call me maybe BUT ONLY IF YOU HAVE RELEVANT INFORMATION MIND YOU OR I'LL PUNCH YOU IN THE CROTCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!" aimed at Logan, he's starting to wonder if you're unwell.]
no subject
You know, I was thinking of asking you something similar, but I wouldn't want to risk inflating your ego.
[[....however, you...actually aren't being too bad today. Oh, you're being annoying, and she'd be lying if she said there wasn't some frustration here, but there's no....real anger. It's...frankly rather bizarre.
...
clearly Johto's fault, really.]]
Perhaps I'm just having an off-day. I'll be sure to go back to being completely unpleasant tomorrow, if you want to call back then.

no subject
It's working, by the way.
no subject
no subject
[[whyyyyyyy is this so pleasantttttttttt
just
go kick a child or something so she can go back to furiously hating you]]
no subject
Given how bizarre the locals are in this place, I really wouldn't be surprised if that were the case.
no subject
that will do nicely.]]
I don't know, I thought the people in Violet City were very kind; the monks especially. Have you had some bad experiences?
[[Let's just gently put this conversation back to a nice, dry, information gathering session. She can tolerate your company if it means she can get info without any of that....lighthearted bantering.]]
no subject
[if
you get
his drift
BUT MOVING ON]
As for these monks you're so fond of - I assume you're talking about the order residing in that tower to the northeast?
no subject
Yes, the order in Sprout Tower. They were very good to me; one of them gave me that book I was reading when I....
[[....]]
...happened to encounter you charming gentlemen that day.
[[aka The Worst Day Ever. But at least her book didn't get damaged.
We won't speak of her pride.]]
no subject
...and as much as he generally tries to refrain from asking Page too many questions, unless she says something particularly perplexing...morbid curiosity is kind of killing him here.]
Since you've spoken to them and therefore might know these things - what, exactly, does that order practice in the first place? It hardly makes sense that there would be a Light or Darkness following here; everything seems centered on these little hellbeasts that we've been given. As much as most of my being would like to believe these people don't really hold Bellsprouts to be sacrosanct, that begs the question of what doctrine they're actually worshipping, if any.
no subject
Not that she's complaining, however; a change from the norm is always rather nice. Especially for such a lovely topic!]]
Bellsprout is a central figure in the teachings of the Sprout Tower monks, yes, but that's because the legend states that the swaying central pillar was once a 100-ft Bellsprout. I was skeptical at first, but when you see the pillar in action you can understand why that legend would exist; it's a perfect mimicry of the movements of the Pokemon. It's actually quite soothing to watch. There's something very peaceful about it.
[[As she continues to talk, Page begins to smile softly, looking off to the side. Caught up in the memory of her time with the monks, she continues on.]]
The monks teach that all living beings can coexist through co-operation; encouraging the partnership of humans and Pokemon, basically. They're dedicated to studies of peace and prosperity, and try to emulate the gentle nature of Bellsprout in their words and actions.
Quite a beautiful order, really.
no subject
Well, that's admittedly far better than it could have been - a bit of an odd choice of inspiration, but if that's what they get out of the creepy little things, then they're more than welcome to it.
Any other legends you've heard, regarding this place, or is that it so far?
no subject
[[.....oh
she kind of just got pretty excited and sparkly-eyed about that, um
....better go back to being stony]]
...well, I...hope that answers your question, anyway.
