[[Today is a fairly pleasant day in Violet City, so Page has taken advantage of the good weather to head outside and train her Pokemon a little. She's found, however, that over the past few weeks she's developed a few questions that she can't seem to find good answers for, so she's decided to....well, ask the 'feed', as it were. It took her a little while to work up the courage and to remind herself that she's not a wanted criminal here, but even so, it's....well. Slightly uncomfortable, but if this is how people communicate in this place, she'd better get used to it.

She's standing in an area on the outskirts of the city, the rustic buildings of Violet City in the background. The camera is surprisingly steady, obviously being held by one of her larger Pokemon.]]

I was wondering if any of you would be able to help me with my query.

[[When she speaks, her eyes find the camera, but once she's finished she immediately looks to the side, obviously not that comfortable with the whole experience. She's used to giving speeches; rather good speeches! But she's also used to have a tangible audience, so the fact that all she has to focus on is...well, her Gear, is bemusing her somewhat. But she'll get used to it. She's gotten used to worse.]]

Do any of you have experience with raising one of these?

[[Almost on cue, an Eevee scampers up her body and sits on her shoulder, staring into the camera with serious eyes matching those of his trainer.]]

I've done a bit of research and found that he can evolve into one of seven different things; which did you choose? What was the reason? Was it worth it, or do you regret your choice? I've heard evolution is irreversible, so I want to make sure my decision is the right one.

[[Another slightly awkward look to the side, before she faces the camera once more and nods her head slightly.]]

.....and no promises on the lack of fighting :| However, at the moment she's found herself rather speechless. How the hell is she supposed to process this? King Logan the tyrant, providing her with information and resources? With books?

Page has no idea how to deal with it, so the barriers fly straight up.]]

[[Nothing is making sense to her anymore. Is this a side effect of being in Johto? Everyone's personalities just get warped?

[A sigh. He's not going to explain everything - she'd think he's crazy after all - but he can at least offer her some explanation.]

I haven't always been a tyrant, Page. I'll admit, I've never been a great ruler, but things have only worsened in the past four years. It was through necessity that I started acting this way. I... can't explain it; the situation is something nearly unbelievable, but I promise you, everything I did, I did it to preserve Albion.

I don't have to worry about that here. I don't have to be a tyrant and I don't have a country to protect. I'm the same as everyone else here. It's... it's almost a relief, actually.

[He falls silent for a moment after that.]

I have no quarrel with you personally, so I see no reason to fight with you.

[[Page falls silent once Logan finishes speaking, looking off to the side, lips pursed as she thinks. Edgar seems content to continue peering into the feed, however, watching the conversation with curious eyes. He can sense the tension in his trainers shoulders; she's usually some degree of tense, but this is a new high.]]

...I can't trust you.

[[It took her a while to even consider his sister as an ally; the thought of opening up to Logan is....god, the mind boggles! Page doesn't even know if she's capable of it. But she's found that being away from Albion has changed things; she has no city to protect, no revolution to lead...as uncomfortable as the thought is, she's finding that she's actually relaxing for the first time in....quite a long time. Too long, really.

Could the same be applied to Logan? She'd told him he could contact her if he had information regarding returning home; she hadn't exactly meant he could call her up whenever he liked, let alone give her things...]]

...at least, not yet. It's...too soon. Far too soon.

[[Sighing, forcing herself to loosen up, Page returns her gaze to the camera.]]

I'm not calling you a liar, but I'm not saying I believe you. However, I will accept the book if you're willing to send it.

[[He's stumbled upon one of the few things that will get her to open up a little, anyway, so if the book turns out to be useful...

....she'll think about that later.]]

I don't blame you.

[The words are soft and Logan keeps his eyes away from the 'Gear. He folds his arms and sits up properly.]

The things I've done are unforgivable and quite frankly, I don't deserve trust from anyone after them.

But I did everything with a good reason. If there had been any other way around it, I wouldn't have done the things I did.

[But Page's words do get him to glance up then and for a brief moment some strange expression crosses his features. It's not quite a smile - in fact, you'd have to really stretch your imagination to see it as a smile - but it's as close as he gets.]

Of course. As I said, I'll send my Staraptor with it soon.

[It's good to know that Page is willing to listen at the very least. Maybe he could open up and tell her what fate awaits Albion. Not yet. But maybe in the future.]

[[Well, that's a surprise. He almost sounds....humble. It's so far from the image of Logan in her head that Page almost lets her guard down. Almost.]]

It would be rather nice if you could share those reasons one day, but for now I'm satisfied with the knowledge that you're aware of how repulsively you've acted.

[[Really, it's actually quite nice. It makes her curious, however; why on earth would he act so horribly if he knew it was cruel, and that people were suffering? She makes a mental note to pursue that in the future. Perhaps he'll tell her of his own accord.

She also doesn't miss that...whatever the hell that expression was, and it just makes her more uneasy. Is this man really the tyrant she's fought against for so long? It's just not adding up, and Page can't stand it when things don't add up.]]

I'll have my Gligar keep an eye on the skies, then; chances are she'll spot your Pokemon long before me.

I know how horrible my actions have been. I wish there had been some other way. I'll explain more in the future, but for now, know that I am genuinely sorry for all the things I've done to Albion.

Verbal apologies are nice, but useless. They won't bring back the people you've killed. You'll need to do better than that to atone.
