3RD REVOLUTION - [VIDEO/ACTION FOR ILEX FOREST]

[[The feed opens to the sight of an Umbreon sitting calmly in the grass, blinking softly as he looks into the camera. It isn't long, however, before the focus of the image is shifted, sliding away from the Umbreon and bringing into view a shivering Chikorita, lying on what appears to be a brown blanket. In actuality, it's Page's skirt, and said skirt-owner is currently on her knees, gently washing dirt from the Chikorita's pale skin. It's peppered with injuries; mainly scratches, but there's a rather nasty gash on its side that Page is trying to treat. Without pausing in her work, she addresses the feed.]]

Do any of you have any experience with Pokemon medicine or medical care? I found her underneath a tree this morning. I don't know what attacked her but she keeps dipping in and out of consciousness and I'm....worried.

[[As Page looks down at the Chikorita, her Gligar crawls up her back and pops over her shoulder, joining her in looking down at their unexpected guest. The Umbreon hasn't moved the entire time, instead flicking his eyes around the area. It never hurts to be cautious, especially when they're tripping over injured Pokemon. Page returns her gaze to the camera for one last plea for help.]]

There are a lot of berries around the place but I don't know if any will help break her fever. The guidebook doesn't really cover anything like that. If there's anyone out there that can offer advice, even a little, I'd really appreciate it.

[[With a final look down at the Chikorita, Page nods slightly, before moving to cut the feed.]]

Thank you for listening.

[This is a serious situation and Apollo has his serious face on. He's rummaging around off-screen with the hand that's not holding the gear.]

None of the berries are good for fever, but feeding her Oran Berries [He holds up a blue berry.] and Sitrus Berries [He holds up a yellow berry.] should work on that wound if you don't have any Potions. I'm not sure if she can eat like that though.

For the fever, look for flowers like this one [He holds up a flower. The mun doesn't know what PokéWorld herbalism is like so I'll just wing this and pretend that Apollo's getting this all right because he knows stuff like this]. They seem to be pretty common. If you have something to boil water in you should tear up the petals and let them sit in the hot water for a while, then have her drink the water. If you don't then chew the petals up with a lot of spit and feed it to her in little pieces at a time. You'll need to give her more that way though. It won't heal her fever completely but it will help. I've only had to give it to Pokémon with mild fevers before so I'm not sure how much of a difference it will make on a strong fever like that, but it should do something at least.

[If I didn't know better I'd say that this post was aimed specifically at him.

Don't mind that you're getting medical advice from a 13-year-old, Page. He knows what he's doing, even if most people wouldn't consider it "medicine" per se.]

I hope it works.

Most people here seem to only think to go to the PokéCenters or use the Potions and things from the stores, but sometimes you can't get to them quickly, and if you only know how to use Potions for healing while you're traveling you'll need a lot of money.

It's the only way to treat wounds and sickness that I knew about before coming here. After I came here I've been trying to learn about the different plants here and which ones work for Pokémon and which ones work for humans.

The herbs all seem to work on humans just as well as on Pokémon, but almost all the berries seem like they're poisonous to humans. Persim berries are really bitter and make you feel like you're going to throw up, Pecha berries taste like they're on fire and make it a little hard to breathe, Cheri berries are sour and make you feel sore, Aspear berries make you cold and start to sweat a lot, and Rawst berries taste like burnt wood and make your tongue start to swell. The only ones I've tried that don't seem to be poisonous are Oran berries, which just taste terrible, and Chesto berries, which make you a bit sleepy. I made sure to only try really small pieces, so eating a whole berry would probably make their effects worse. I haven't tried any of the other kinds of berries yet, but I don't plan on trying, since I've heard from Nurse Joy that they aren't edible to humans either.

I didn't think it would be dangerous. Usually plants that can heal animals work the same for humans, but I made sure not to assume that they did just in case, and it turned out that it was good that I was careful.

I guess so? I haven't heard of anyone else who knows much about them.

Maybe? They would never know if they were really poisonous or not though. This place might be a safer place to try plants you don't know, since I've heard that no one can die here.
